BMPIL Writing Challenge - What's In My Bag and In My Car

Jan 27, 2022

There is about one week left of my resignation notice and now I'm back into the tiresome hassle of finding a new place. Also, I need to change my brake pad and go to my Dr. Ko monthly check-up which I have put away for weeks now. I really, really, don't feel like doing anything these days especially since I usually spend the weekend at home and the rush to work on Monday and then simply wither away due to the fact that I haven't been eating on time and I'm only either at work, sleeping or on my phone. I even uninstall Instagram just to maybe, kinda, cut off my screen time a bit.

Anyway, I went for a walk this morning and did some cleaning around the house. That feels productive even tho I really do have to go to Dr. Ko as soon as possible but we're going to push that aside (again) and write a little cause I feel that this good feeling will go to waste if I don't write.

What's in my bag?

I have four bags that I rotated the usage with varying sizes but in general, there are on the small side. I usually change it every few weeks or so. All of them are black save for one which is in beige color only because it is a farewell gift from my previous work. They wanted to see me in other than black #lol.

I only buy black because it goes with everything especially since I will carry that one handbag everywhere. I opted for small bags because I hate how messy it gets when I simply chuck in everything when I use a bigger one. Actually, one of the bags is bigger and I tried my best to steer away from it. In a matter of fact, I just changed the bigger handbag yesterday to a small one because it gets messy and it annoys me. I'm planning to just ruin that big handbag which excuses me to buy a new one but then I hate if I don't have the option of a bigger handbag when I needed it.

It's mostly useful to put my telekung if we went to a mall or something since there's no free telekung available due to Covid-19.

Since it is small, there's nothing much in it saves for the essentials - purse, lip balm, hand cream, mask extension, and my keys.

Other important things like masks and hand sanitizer are stashed in my car. I never carry tissues. Sometimes, there's random medicine in it. Usually Accutane, painkillers or something for my allergies.

If I use the bigger ones, there will be a lot of random stuff. It is still in there because I was too lazy to empty it yesterday.

That's it for today. No handbag picture though because I'm too lazy.

My last post was on the 4th of October. It's a good two months of me not writing anything. Not sure how I am feeling about that but yesterday, I do suddenly missing writing my poems.

I thought I'm going to write about how life has been just to show how a person in her late twenties is doing. Writing a poem is not it by the way. I miss it so much though.

A lot has been happening and everything went so fast. Before I knew it, there's another two months left before my three months notice is finished. Yup, that happens. I went on for an interview, succeeded and in two months, I'll be working a new place. I got two fresh new staff that I need to train, again, and I hope they'll stay long enough or at least until the company got a new pharmacist to replace me. The new staffs are so much easier to work with so I'm immensely thankful for that.

I did my presentation for the company last month. It was my first time ever doing a presentation in this company and outside of the hospital setting. It occupies me for a good two weeks. I keep putting off doing the slides in favor of training new staff (the ones who have quit) and doing everything on my own since I can't rely much on the new staff. I even did the slides at home because I wanted to finish them before going on a short staycation-ish trip with my friend. It was only for a few hours though. I am very serious about not doing my work at home.

I'm so proud of the slides. I purposely choose a title that I don't know much and with that, I was able to learn so many new things. The presentation went well too. All and all, it was a good success.

The staycation is a success too. We were celebrating a friend of ours who came back from Sabah. We stayed at Dorsett KL, play some electronic scooter, watch a good horror movie, frolicking in the rooftop pool for hours and end it with a nice hi-tea buffet at Atmosphere 360.

She did drop us a bomb by suddenly saying she is going to get married without any notice about how there's a prospective guy in her life. Now that's something that I'm not sure if I was borderline mad or just annoyed about. I'm not really close with her as we rarely get the chance to see each other but there's a few of us back then so it was natural for us to get her into our group. I guess she was that introverted person which we adopt so I love being able to celebrate her. I can't help also feeling betrayed when she told us that like it was nothing.

I feel like sharing this because it's one of the things that usually happen and sometimes it can be a confusing thing.

The problem is that when I get angry or anything, I tend to shut down from such people. At first, it was because I realized that I can be so cruel when I'm mad so I learned to just step away. Before long, stepping away becomes letting them go and I am simply at peace. It is surprisingly easy to let go. Like if I ever did this to you, I'm sorry but I can't give you any good explanation because I just can't be bothered so there's that.

I need to improve my communication skills. Like a friend of mine has been so annoying lately and I'm like "We need to switch you off for a while" but the pharmacy he's working at is finally opening today so I need to wish him or something. I'm so proud of him though.

I've been spending more time with my family since the interstate travel ban has been lifted. They have finished re-did my old grandparent's house and I finally get to see it. It was so nice being able to stay in my village again. We even do a small get-together with my relatives there.

I didn't get updated with Covid-19 cases much these past months and my new housemate told me that we might go into another lockdown so that's a thought I'm going to put far behind my mind. Oh ya, I got two new housemates so no more putting stuff everywhere because I was the only one here. That was a sweet one month of privacy.

Besides those is the typical changing new tyres, getting a deal for a new brake pad, going for Dr Ko sessions and I even get the chance to try a new restaurant around here. I don't read though. I need to continue my reading lol.

I think that is all and it has been good.

Also, I put those Veets cream above my upper lips area to get rid of those tiny hairs. I tried shaving but it didn't give me a smooth finish. Waxing causes small bumps afterward. Putting Veets makes it so smooth so yeah. Don't do it.

BMPIL Writing Challenge - My Favourite Desserts and Snacks!

Sep 19, 2021

I was having a rather slump-ish weekend and thought to myself that I needed to write stuff here - last night. It's now almost noon - the next day.

Also, I actually wrote something that just needed a minor tweaking but I don't like it anymore. I guess I needed to edit it some more. I also don't have a really nice vibe with my previous post, which is kinda a ridiculous reason. These have all and all made me want to just delete both of them but we'll persevere, I guess, and simply move on to our next topic.

I love this topic (insert heart emoji here)

I usually have a very specific mood for desserts and snacks. I needed to have that feel before actually eating it. I'm a slow eater and tends to savour everything and is even more so if the said food is desserts and snacks. These two were meant to be enjoyed consciously and deliberately.

Although, even after having said that, it was rare for me to really want to eat these. I don't know why though. Like if you give me something now, I won't touch it.

Ok, let's do this, favourite dessert will go first.

I am a chocolate enthusiast. Especially the creamier ones which means the ones with creams or dairy. So if it's a chocolate bar, it must be the milk ones. If it is a cake, then it must be the moist ones with luscious chocolate ganache. Naturally, this means I'm mad for moist brownies. There's this buffet we went to during our first year that served amazing chocolate souffle and I am hooked but I can't seem to find anywhere that sells it. If it's a drink, it must be a creamy chocolatey goodness one and hence that's why I hardly buy a chocolate drink. I usually buy iced drinks so I hated when the ice dilutes the drink and it's hard to find a good chocolate smoothie. I'll usually make hot drinks at home so milo and those Cadbury drinks are easily my favourite chocolate drinks.

I swear to all the good looking guys in anime that I've watched (tibber), dal.komm and this one local online cafe here made the best chocolate smoothies.

You can hardly go wrong with brownies as long as you stick to a recipe that includes putting chunks of chocolate into the batter but a chocolate cake from a good bakery is just on another level. I'm so into Gula Cakery now since it's close by. Apart from that, I do enjoy cheese tart as well. Be it a plain one or a fruits ones, I like them all. I'm not really a fan of egg tarts though. It's nice but I usually have this mood where I tend to not-feeling-like-having-an-egg-aftertaste.

I'm not really a snack eater.  I don't hate it though. I don't know why. I eat snacks but usually, I just don't feel like it. I might eat it if it's there or when the "want" come but I try not to buy much cause I know it will take forever to finish. Like there's this keropok ikan that I bought last Tuesday I guess because I feel like eating it and I don't have time for lunch so it was a good and rather filling snack. There's about a third of it left still laying around in the pantry.

The only cookies that I eat are either those big and chewy cookies (like the Subway's) or this cookie that my friend sells (she made it herself, it is so good and addicting). I used to like Chipsmore and always buys it but I don't anymore for like months now because I think I started to not like it. This is a weird realization to me because I've been loving Chipsmore since I'm a kid.

I like those crispy chocolate snacks like the ones with wafer or rice crispies like Zip from Cadbury. I love that thing. I still only do chocolate flavour though. The chewy ones like Snickers is a big no no cause I hated how it stuck to my teeth.

It seems like these days, my snacks are on the sweet sides only. I don't really do savoury ones except for potato chips (any flavour is good, you can't go wrong with potato chips) and also, Super Ring. I think I only ate two types of bagged snacks - Super Ring and Pop Corn Perisa Durian. They are no bagged snacks that can compete with these two - period.

As for ice cream, I'm usually sticking to the basics. Chocolate or vanilla. That Magnum one, the plain one, of course, is top tier. I rarely bought packed cone ice cream. I also love sour-ish popsicles which are my go-to on hot days.

I also always have mints with me but the chewy ones instead. I do enjoy hard candy as well but I don't really have any preference. It's simply nice to pop one into your mouth. I think I can stock on hard candy in my room. That will be nice.

BMPIL Writing Challenge - Academic Background Throwback

Aug 27, 2021

Before we go into depth I just want to rant out a few things on what today's me with "this" academic background is currently doing.

First of all, I had my second tooth removed the other day and although I had the day off, I still had to attend two online meetings, which I think is a good distraction instead of just sleeping throughout the day. Having said that, it was hard for me to fall asleep after the meeting even tho I slept for like four hours only last night. I always have at least six hours of sleep. I still sleep though, but I woke up at 6pm feeling like this isn't the real world.

Also, the nurse asked for my age when she was taking my blood pressure and I am so glad that I can answer quickly and confidently and that was made possible only because I  just Googled BTS members age recently and also because I asked my friends how old we are when they wish me "Happy Birthday". I don't know how I can count drug doses but become so confused when it come to counting things that are time-related.

I think I might start telling people I was born in 1993 and let them count themselves.

This topic is actually the 19th-day topic but I have started writing this challenge like two months ago. It's okay though. I don't really have anyone to hold me accountable and these prompts were made so that I can sit comfortably, writes some random stuff and just have fun. If there's anyone who actually read this because they wanted to become a pharmacist - ermmm, hello?

Let's start, shall we?

I went to a simple tadika Kemas. Or was it tabika? 5 years old me don't care about the spelling of course. I changed my kindergarten and my primary schools thrice each as my parents keep on changing places. I think they keep applying or something because they want to settle down at Manjung. I don't really put my thought about those except it means that I don't really have that friend since I was five years old. The one friend I have known the longest is probably since I was eight or nine, from my second primary school, and we kinda get back in touch later on as we went to the same high school.

I have no idea how we could still recognize each other. I think it was sometime during degrees that we just randomly remembered that we actually knew each other for a very long time. Since my parents were primary schools teachers, I went to the same primary school that either my mom or my dad work and thus keeps on following them when they move. It was when I was 10 years old that I finally stay at one school and finishes my primary year's education. Yes, I was that anak cikgu.

Remember how anak cikgu always ended up being a school prefect? I don't want to be one so I settled with being a librarian instead. I think that was one of my most fun primary schools experience.

This is turning a lot more sentimental actually so I'm going to write so long.

Fun fact - this last primary school that I went to is a sekolah wawasan plan from the government to kinda integrate the three main races in the same compound and improves our unity? I think there's like three or four of these schools throughout Malaysia. The idea was to have three schools for each main race (Malays, Indians and Chinese) in the same compound and like the kids could befriend each other.

It doesn't work though since the schools and hence the classes are still separated and we only saw each other during recess. Plus, the Chinese school was never opened. I don't know why. It was still a kids school so it is still very lively and fun. It was the prettiest school too since it was the newest built school around the area. We also only have morning sessions instead of the usual two sessions of schooling in government schools so it was a whole lot less crowded but it was a bit far from my home.

Actually, my dad made a point for us to go to a morning session school throughout our entire primary schooling years. Something about wanting the whole family to eat together during lunch. I think that's the other reason why they keep changing schools.

What this also means is that I only regularly went to afternoon schools when I was ten. We don't have afternoon schools from age seven to nine because they follow the government schools nearby scheduled who practices that two sessions of schooling. I still took UPKK though.

I don't have to follow my mom anymore when  I went to high school. I just have to go to a school close to my home. I remember feeling so scared because I'm going to a new school with new people that I don't know. I was turning 13 years old so it's natural to start being so self-conscious. I was afraid that I can't penetrate into the new clique of friends since the kids will most likely be coming from the same primary school and know each other for years while there I was - that new kid. I was just being too worrisome although as I get older, I started to realize that these changing schools actually have affected me so much in my way of approaching new people.

With high school thus begin my years of riding to school and become so beautifully tanned. I think my current tanned skin was due to all those years of riding under the near noon heat. I have this one friend who lives in the same neighbourhood as mine that I ride together with to school every day. We always end up in the same class and thus sits with each other throughout all those five years and somehow also ended up doing the same clubs most of the time.

I was a kid and I guess I never really understand the whole friendship stuff back then. It was just always having someone. I think I was too clueless at that time to really appreciate friendship too. However, we do have this ease and comfort with each other and we also have lots in common too. I've known her since I was 11 years old. Also, she was that friend who I use her name whenever I want to hang out like -  "she's going to be there too so please let me go as well". My dad was the typical unnecessarily strict Asian parent. Oh my god, I miss her so much. She works in KL now so I thought it will be fun to hang out with her more often as I've moved closer now but then Covid-19 happen.

High school went on pretty peacefully. It was simple and carefree. Studying wasn't much of a struggle, alhamdulillah for that. My classmates were the nicest people ever too. We get along so well and most of us stay in the same class for all those five years. I even ended up being the class leader one time as I was simply promoted when the current class leader got an offer to a boarding school. Thinking back about that now feels kinda weird because I always remember being indifferent in school so why did the teacher think I have leadership skills?

I'm not sure if I was actually ever qualified for a boarding school but I did purposely not giving much effort when applying. I want to stay at home. You can't simply laze around and watch tv if you're in a boarding school lol. Apart from that, we had the best teachers too and since most of us were these well-behaved kids, we didn't have much drama like cikgu merajuk sebab kelas bising or not turning out our homework. Like I said earlier, it was peaceful. Also, my favourite subject was History.

Afterwards, I went to Selangor Matriculation College. I knew I could've done better in SPM and since I wasn't a straight A's student, my chance was slim to none to get me to a foundation study. I choose matriculation and I remember wanting to redeem myself. Thus started my first experience ever living far away from home and living in dorms. Matriculation was my first shot at living independently which is kinda daunting but in a good way. Plus it is also my most honest life experience.

I remember being so good in my studies and everything that the lecturers taught just clicked. It was still all hard works and diligent discipline, especially in mathematics. It goes without saying that a person whose favourite subject being history most probably will not be doing so well in mathematics. I had a friend who taught me diligently earlier on and that tutoring of her really takes off. Her name is Afifah too. I could grasp the topic easier as the year goes by afterwards. I never get to thank her enough how that simple gesture of her really helps me a lot to build my confidence and better study habit. I daresay I might not actually become a pharmacist without her help.

The funniest thing is that it surprises me how much mathematics wasn't actually that bad. As my friend helps me with the basics that I failed to understand properly while in high school, the following topics were made easily understood as the lecturer was simply so good at explaining. The new concepts were almost welcoming and all the assignments were just these fun challenges for me. It was so surprising that I was even chosen to tutor a group of my classmates as matriculation have these programs where the better-performed classmates tutoring the other classmates.

This might seems like obnoxious self-praise but it is honestly the best thing ever as I started to realize my actual potential. Not like to get you A's and good job but simply the attitude I've developed from it. It humbles me to know what vast knowledge really means, how to get around it so that I can provide myself with the necessary part that I needed and just understanding a lot better about myself too. Being a simple suburban kid of a primary teachers parent who meets the same person for years and hardly struggles in studies, except maybe like few months before SPM, this is a big thing for me.

With that, I got to enrol at The National University of Malaysia (UKM). But not the Bangi Campus. I was in the Kuala Lumpur Campus. It was kinda shocking when I realized that a simple girl like me is going to spend four years in the most metropolitan city in Malaysia. I never even thought of wanting to live in a big city. I simply apply for pharmacy and only upon receiving my offer letter that I come to realize that UKM's pharmacy study was on campus in KL. I remember earlier during orientation seeing how bright the sky was at night. It was glowing in orange as if a really big fire erupted. That was such a silly thought and then I started to understand what light pollution means. I thought I'd be more culture shock though. A real anti-climatic on that part.

It was a wonderful time. The KL campus was a lot smaller than the main campus, but that just means more close-knitted communities among all the different faculties. There isn't much to offer too but we're in the middle of KL so everything is just within reach. The funniest thing is how I needed to explain that our campus was smacked in the middle of Chow Kit and only a walking distance to both a monorail station and Kampung Baru. It was during those years when the cold looking Tun Razak Exchange started to be built. Also, our residential college is literally behind Tasik Titiwangsa. Tasik Titiwangsa is such a big perk but it's also a really big park. You need to walk about 1km to get you to the nearest bus station or pay for pricey taxis to get you to the nearest LRT station. We actually almost exclusively went everywhere with LRT and monorail, which then means that we have no idea how to ride those KL buses #lol.

With my newfound interest in studying, choosing pharmacy just makes so much sense. Although we do have this reputation being those who are "not qualified to become doctors so we applied for pharmacy" instead. It was a really childish thought considering how much money people be making in the pharmaceutical industry and how private doctors revenue mainly focuses on pharmaceuticals. I never have thought of pharmacy as a lesser thing of course. It's just an absurd concept for me especially since I myself purposely choose this. I remember one of the lecturer's speeches during our orientation simply questioning our choice and his readiness to give a recommendation letter if any of us want to change our mind.

We were blessed with lots of talented lecturers and such an amazing curriculum as well. I learned to realizes this once I entered the working atmosphere. I was exposed to lots of opportunities and experiences to prepare me for the outside world. I realized how they really try to produce graduates with a good sense of consciousness and value while still being in a well-adapting character. At least I think so. I can recall direct and indirect exposures, exercises and a variety of assignments plus simply being taught by these well-rounded lecturers which leave me with a deep impression.

Now I'm working. Working has taught me a lot more things but in an informal way of studying. It even shows more sides of me. This blog has become even more crucial for me ever since. It guides me to get a better grip of myself as writing helps me a lot to process this new "knowledge" and getting to understand it either in the sense of possible consequences or just reflecting.

Someone told me that getting a degree but not working in that field of degree is okay. It's not a crucial thing to secure a job that reflects your degree. I never really understand that but I'm not saying it's wrong or anything. I guess it's because I always have this specific inkling not to study something that I don't really need to have a use for. Especially during this time of my life where there is no assignment to be done or exam to look forward to.

Although it is arguable that most of what I do day to day at work this time especially, as a community pharmacist, actually reflect what I learned. Heck, most of what I did wasn't even something that I was ever taught, ever. But I can say for sure that without my academic background, I can't pull this off. Also, I can't imagine being in this pandemic without my science background. It must be so confusing #lol.

I always believe that there's going to be things that will be exposed or provided to you along the academic pathway that you've chosen which will then intuitively guides you to your next future. Thus in that sense, it kinda makes more sense to me to always land on something related unless there's a big shift of things that just makes you feel that you can just forego it all and step onto a new future. Future is an undetermined timespan. You can have as many futures as you want. Also, pharmacy is a really flexible career.

BMPIL Writing Challenge - My Current Netflix Watching List

Jun 26, 2021

I think this writing challenge is really working out as I am more aware how days have passed. I'm on my fifth days already and this is such a fun topic to write. I'm a genius really coming out with this challenge.

I hope there are more anime on Netflix. I love watching anime dearly. I started watching anime during highschool and stop watching much during my degree years and only recently pick it up about two years now. I got bored too easily with drama so the hypeness in anime really does wonder with my attention span.

Moreover, I am more of a supernatural and sci fi kind of person and anime just brings out the best out of this two genre. I also can't do any "slice of life" kinda of series anymore especially those with love arc. I do watch plenty of this kind of show, mainly k drama, during high school but now it just bores me. This then leaves me with such little choice of drama show. With this being said, my current list are almost all being anime. If I found any drama series that I liked, I usually just got so invested and finishes it quickly. The last series that I've finished on Netflix was Ragnarok. Others includes Stranger Things, Altered Carbon and Diableros. I tend to take forever to finish an anime series though. Apart from this, I just watch movies.

I want to show a screenshot of my Netflix but it is not accurate at all. Most of my recommendation are k-dramas because my cousin uses my profile to watch those. I guess she watches it more frequently than me so each time I opened it, it usually shows her watching history instead of mine.

Ok, enough introduction, let's get into it!

Jujutsu Kaisen

I just have to start with this one. It was only recently been on Netflix and I had to pirate it previously. I always love a good supernatural anime and JJK just works so well especially since it is based on a more current timeline. I'm loving with their sorcerer and curses world and I totally lose it when one of the character says that his favourite actress was Jennifer Lawrence. It have a good background story that balances with the action part thus allows me to understand the characters better and then be all hyped up during action scenes and just be "yass, that's my guy!". The humour is so well done too and the characters were presented so well that I just love everyone even the bad guys. Bonus point there are a lot of hot characters!

I won't watch anime with funny looking characters like One Piece. I have this principle that is, if I'm giving an effort to watch any anime series, it might as well have lots of good looking characters.

Psycho Pass

I got interested in this since it have the same concept with this movie called Minority Report. That movie leaves such an impression on me but I never got around to actually watch this anime until this one TikTok video came on my For You Page. It just shows this scene where the main character looks all cool and super hot and I'm like this is the sign I've been waiting for.

It has a good plot but a bit too serious for my liking so I don't really rush to finish it. But I still loving the sci fi setting and characters (albeit all being so uptight) so I'll definitely still finishes it.

Haikyuu!

I'm currently on my fourth season so I guess it was too late now to hold onto my principle to not watch any sports themed anime. I watch few sports themed anime during high school and when I pick up anime back this time around, I made a point not to watch this genre anymore. Firstly because it gets too technical-ish and secondly because I just think I have enough of this "this sports is my life and I'm going to give my everything to it" and then everyone become so sentimental about it while I keep on having this nagging voice inside me saying "it's just a ball". Plus, I hate the tense that came during a match lol.

I only watch this because my sister was adamant that it is so good eventho I told her I'm done with sports anime. She told me that Haikyuu is different and honestly I shouldn't listen to her since she's still new in anime and her previous anime was according to my viewing history.

Anyway, it wasn't bad per se. It was just not my thing anymore. It got good humor, really tense matches (not good for my heart at all) and by including many teams from other district into their storyline, it made it more interesting. I saw someone saying that the reason Haikyuu was so famous is because there's always a character for you. Being a simple high schooler made it more laid back and just lovable.

I was so done during the second season and decided not to continue it afterwards but it turns out that the entire third season was this important match with this team that was implied from earlier on during season one so now I just have to watch everything.

Devilman Crybaby

I watched this randomly with my sister. I like to spent my time at home watching and hyping over anime with her. I think we were all caught up with Attack On Titan and decided to watch any random anime. This was during the end of the second PKP. I didn't continue it afterwards and only decided to catch up last month. The reason I decided was that I needed a distraction from the secondhand embarrassment I was watching on Haikyuu.

I don't like watching secondhand embarrassment in any kind of shows. This is why I don't watch Mr Bean.

Devilman Crybaby animation was done by this studio called Science SARU. This isn't a more popular studio and they uses this hybrid of hand drawn and digital animation technique. Their animation style combined with the manga style is why I still remember to continue watching it. I'm not sure how to explain it but it's just interesting and it also made the whole story really more captivating.

I'm also not sure how to explain the plot. It is a mashed of both supernatural as they play with the theme of the society getting sick and turning into evil demon and then the sci fi part are more on the gadgets used. The plot also have these pure characters that turns into demons, play around with graphic content that includes death, sex and drugs and then have one the main character being morally gray. The dark cinematography looming throughout the entire series is such a vibe too.

Vincenzo

There are so many type of k drama out there and I tried to watch some especially those that have supernatural themes but I still got bored as they will still includes all the "living a daily life" things. I mean I am a living person already, I don't need to watch how this powerful witch was all sad and misery because life has mistreated her.

I got such high hopes with Hotel Del Luna.

Anyway, I watched this series for three reasons.

The first one being, I still need to watch more kdrama. I keep on feeling that not liking kdrama in general is such an uneducated opinion so I need more experience in it before continue to not liking it. Does that make sense? This is the very reason why I started to listen to BTS and ended up really liking them. I don't want to not like something for no valid reason. Furthermore, the choices for kdrama are becoming more variable so I was determine to try and find if I actually like anything.

The second and third reason are more basic. The second one because the main character was Song Joong Ki. I don't watch korean drama but I do know Song Joong Ki were among the more popular ones so I wanted to see how he acts. I tried Descendants of The Sun but it just bores me. The third one because it was mafia themed. Knowing k drama always does a good job in the accuracy of potraying their theme, I  was so curious to see how the mafia part was going to be done. The first few episodes was quite boring though but I still pull through until the main story arc started and it turns out to be fun. It feels good to have one kdrama that I actually like.

I love how Vincenco does speak Italian, all those fancy suits which of course is important in mafia kind of shows, having fighting scene although it feels like a bit too try-hard to make Vincenzo look the coolest, all kind of family dynamics and the use of all the plaza residents characters in the storyline is just the most creative plot.

I am still not as hyped as compared to watching my usual kind of drama series but I do want to finish it. Plus it is so fun to finally get to experience this unique quirkiness and humour that came with kdrama characters and the more professionally done product placement.

But then I won't continue watching it if they have another season, which I know they won't. Thank god.

That's it! I should do an alternate list where I told you guys about the shows that I started and I just gave up because it wasn't interesting. That would be fun.

BMPIL Writing Challenge - What Did I Do At Work Today

Jun 25, 2021

I have this frozen chapati that I've mistakenly bought thinking that I've grabbed the paratha ones and it was bugging me how it doesn't taste the slightest like a chapati. Turns out I used too much heat. Also, it was a bit too thin. I miss having a good chapati.

Oh ya, I decided to train myself to be more direct with my writing. I know I always have this habit to ramble too much and not being able to be more refined in my writing. Anyway, Nanami Kento is so hot and istg he was based on Mads Mikkelsen which make a lot of sense. Plus why didn't I start writing earlier, I'm bound to only finish this somewhere after 12am.

I had my two days off on Tuesday and Wednesday so although today is Thursday, it does have that Monday vibes to it. My weekend off privilege was put off for a while in order to cater to the new hire.

My shift started at 11am until 8pm today. The other staff was having her day off so there were only two of us today. There were two suppliers who had delivered their stock and also a bunch of other stock from HQ that came in during my days off. I went on checking out those first. I'm always excited about getting new stock. I make sure the items were arranged well, tweak some arrangements here and there and reconfirm some stuff with the staff. I make a point to ask some stuff and point out things to see if she understand how things were done.

Apart from that I also checked the delivery order for asnaf that we did. Our pharmacy is a panel pharmacy for zakat. I've settled everything before my two days off and what was left is for the asnaf's guardian to pick up the stuff. It was their second time but somehow both of the times they came in is when I was having the day off. I hope they don't feel bad not being able to meet the actual person who manages their order #lol.

Since we deal with different departments for different parts of the shop's management, it can be a hassle to confirm things. I always made a point to Whatsapp any related people earlier during the day so that I can get replies before their office hours ended. For today I need to clarify about some poster and some points about next month's rosters. I only call when it needs urgent attention or if I think I needed to discuss verbally first before texting them the details.

These look like a lot of things but it took only about half an hour. I then went out to do some business at the bank. The operating hours at the bank have been cut shorter during this PKP and it was so annoying as they needed to cut out some services too which include depositing coins. I can only get coins to change at the bank if people can actually deposit those first.

When I went back to the shop, there's a sales representative already waiting for me. It was our Hurix's supplier. He had already gone through all of our Hurix's stock and even made a list of stock that he suggested for us to get complete with the quantity. That was such a good approach I give him that. We talked for a while as he explains some products to me. There are some new items and one of them is this herbal syrup for kids meant for increasing appetite. He told us that our HQ will order it for all of the branches and I forgot to confirm with HQ if they actually will. Hurix's product always has good flavor and herbal-based appetite enhancer does look promising. I also returned some close expiry stuff so then he issued us a credit note.

There was another sales representative who came not long after the first one went back. But he seems in such a hurry. He manages Gynita products. I'm glad he was such in a hurry because apart from their vitamin C, the other stuff hasn't really been selling much and I don't really feel like talking about it. He gives me a sample of their heatiness drink like those Air Cap Badak but it tasted better than 100 Plus. It was called Icezon Bodycool and you need to make it yourself simply by mixing it with water. I love how it came in a sachet thus making it easier to carry around. I love 100 Plus so this is a big thing for me.

Why am I doing product reviews now? Be more objective and refined Afifah!

Anyway, it wasn't like I meet the sales representative that often. These only came in after they went to HQ since HQ is so close by to us. There are also those who approach us to promote their product and I usually just listen to their explanation a bit and then explained that purchasing decisions were done by HQ and proceed by giving them the contact information of the actual person in charge.

I also spend some time explaining stuff to the new staff. It was easier for me to tutor her when the other staff wasn't here. She is much slower than the other one so I always feel like I need to work at this medium speed when there are the two of them but then the slower ones still didn't grasp the point well and I think it bores the other one. So with that, I take advantage of being only the two of us to kinda refined whatever I have thought her and take a slower approach. I thought her how to sell some products and since we did some product returns, I then taught her how the product return procedure goes by. I also give some pointers on how to address customers better and what she needs to improve.

In between those, since it is the end of the month, we're doing the stock order. I did some quick stock checking while ordering new stock for next month.  It was a bit tedious and somewhat time-consuming as I need to closely cross-check our current stock first. What happens is that there is this issue of always not getting the stuff we ordered. To cater to this, we did ordering every two weeks.

With this method, for those stock that we didn't get, we can try to order it from the other supplier on the next ordering. But since the gap is too close by, there's a chance some stock not even arrived yet when the next ordering came in. That is why I need to closely cross-check our stock and since the ordering was done more frequently, I always have mixed memories of what I have ordered or what I have not yet ordered. Thank god this two weeks ordering system wasn't done on all of suppliers or else it will be an even slower process.

When this kind of days came, it was just more time for me being on the laptop. I guess it was because of my Monday-ish blues since I was being too slow and can hardly focus. I did some and then had my one-hour break. I make some fried rice today but I usually just buy food. After that, I continue with ordering but I was still being so slow. I even took frequent breaks lol. I just gave up somewhere around 5pm and focuses on training my new staff.

The customers are still slow due to PKP. This isn't looking too good for our sales target at all but we did our best with the ones that came in. I'm not going to lie that being able to get home by 8pm is such a joyful thing reaching sales target or not.

That was it. It wasn't this much eventful usually. If I didn't have much to do I will try to train the staff by doing worksheets and discussing their answer afterward. They have a better grasp now for me to start giving my lesson in slides which will cover more stuff. Apart from that I will just check my stock and identify any slow-moving items or if there are things that I better offer to other branches. If there are plenty of customers, I will usually just chill with my phone in between customers as I can't really finish anything with people who keep coming in.

BMPIL Writing Challenge - Three Words To Describe My Job

Jun 24, 2021

There are 35 minutes left before midnight. I should be comfortable on the bed and ready to sleep but I can't put this off. Especially not when I'm moving out in a couple of days which might cause me to be busier and probably ending up not being able to write.

I kinda want to put myself to write daily as much as possible.

Some unrelated note. I've been spending the last hour trying to do a new pinboard for my sidebar and I wanted it to be anime-themed but I just can't find the right pictures so I made a chibi one instead. Also, this is actually the fourth-day topic, not the third day. I switch the third topic to tomorrow since the topic was what did I do today at work but I was having today and yesterday off. I decided to change it so it will be written from a more accurate perspective.

Before I go into those three words for today's challenge, let me give a short explanation about my job. This is my first time being a retail pharmacist and I've done this for almost eight months now. It's a chain business and usually in this case the pharmacist will also be the branch manager in which I am. I work according to shift - either morning shift or evening shift and have the weekend off. There are two staff under my supervision. The three words I choose to describe my job would be - retail, responsibilites and social.

Retail

A business setting is nothing like working in a government hospital. My clinical knowledge from my government experience does help but I still need to learn more. I needed to learn more to help me detect the signs and symptoms before suggesting a medicine. There are more choices too. Sometimes I'll discuss with the customer the options that we have and then they can decide which will they try. Of course, I will make a point to show which will work best though.

These in turn also affected my stock inventory. Even tho it is a chain business, I still have much control regarding my branch stock inventory. For that, I need to know the trend and also keeping a tab of stock movements.

It also challenges my interpersonal skills as I needed to be able to detect what kind of customer that I'm dealing with and what's the best way to approach them. It's challenging and it keeps me on my toes. But it can be super boring during slow days like during the whole Ramadhan and this PKP. As the customer lessens, the stock movement decreases as well. I just don't have much to do.

Responsibilites

As I am actually the branch manager, I was left on my own managing the pharmacy but I was blessed that I didn't actually do much as others might need to especially the more technical part. The technical parts were all handled by the headquarter - ie utilities, POS system, ordering with the supplier, logistic, and even dealing with a sales representative and do all those researches before deciding a supplier. But that was the technical part, the sales, training the staff, ordering monthly stock (we just sent our ordering to HQ and they will do the rest) and making sure the pharmacy is actually running is under my responsibilities.

It was nothing like this when I was in the government hospital. I do have my own portfolio but it was repetitive and dull and having no chance in the near future to be needing to do other things. Dealing with the same thing, especially a non living thing day in and day out was taking such a big toll on me. I was on the verge of burnout not because of how tiring the job physically but how it is mentally. This job opportunity came just right on time. The newfound responsibilities gave me more sense of purpose and satisfaction.

Social

I'm not a social person. My friends thought that I was being funny when I say this because they see me as someone who is easy to be with. But I tend to withdraw from people and only approach them as needed. You know when you feel like you need to talk to alleviate an awkward environment? I can do well in this situation but I usually just choose to keep quiet. This will of course affected how people be around me.

I think of being social as both my personality and also a skill. What this job does is that it brings out a different aspect of being social as I am constantly meeting new persons. Not only that, we've been having some regulars and that requires a different approach in socializing too. Including the staff at the headquarter, more direct contact with the managing directors and also the fact that I have trained seven sales assistant now, all of these unlocks more aspect in my social skill. I have actually taken it as a challenge.

As of recently, I take it as a challenge to have an individualized approach in training my staff. Especially the younger ones. I used to have this idea that I need to train them all the same way and the slow one should just pick up. I restricted my social approach during tutoring and thought they are old enough for me not to spoon-feed them. I think this has affected how comfortable they are with me. I guess the ones who better suited to that approach are more comfortable with me. But now I tried to understand them better and modeled my social approach differently with the hopes that I can still tutor them effectively and they can still be comfortable enough with me so that we can have a better working environment.

I hope there aren't too many errors in this post cause my eyes are literally blurry right now. I'll proofread this later.

BMPIL Writing Challenge - What I eat today

Jun 23, 2021

I was planning to write this yesterday morning but since I'm having the day off, I thought that I can just wait until the day ended and then writes all about it. I forgot. haha.

So let's hope I'll write both yesterday's and today's challenge today. Here is the second topic of "Being More Present in Life Writing Challenge" - what I ate today.

I should've taken pictures, don't I? But it's okay, there's a reason why I keep using stock photos and it is because it easily fits into my blog's aesthetic and not because I'm too lazy.

I was having the day off, so I made a point to cook as I needed to finish whatever was left in the kitchen as much as possible before moving out of this house. I guess my current landlord is suffering some loss as she can't rent the rooms to students anymore and now focusing to rent the place as a whole house instead.

I remember waking up and wanted to drink a simple iced 3in1 coffee. I got Aik Cheong one as I kinda like it when I drink it at this Airbnb we went to before PKP starts again. I haven't bought 3in1 coffee for the longest time. I somehow grew to hate this one taste that I can't exactly pinpoint what but still there are times I simply crave one so I bought this remembering that I liked it well when I drank it there. This was one of those times. Also, I wake up feeling refresh too. Not as groggy as I have complained in my previous post.

I cooked some fries as well and that was my breakfast. I wasn't that hungry so I tidy up around the kitchen and also cooked some rice porridge. I literally just put stuff into the electric pot and leave it to cook. The rice porridge had an egg, sausages, carrots, daun sup and flavoured with ginger and those maggi cukup rasa seasoning. Then I had my so-called breakfast and continue to clean some more stuff in my room and also the bathroom. I took a shower afterward and I make another glass of that iced 3in1 coffee. It was around 2pm that I was decently hungry and ate that porridge. I have some A&W that I decided to just finish it while eating the porridge. It was left in the fridge for so long but I feel too guilty to just throw it away.

Then I went out to check out new places. One of them is at this serviced apartment. I love the idea of living in a service apartment but then I don't like the house. The pool looks so nice though. The other one is a landed two-story house that is so close to my work. I already paid a booking deposit for this one.

I decided to get grilled corn as I was close by to this place that I always go but the corn was undercooked. It was so disappointing and just sad but I still finish it. On the way back, I have this nagging urge to get some more caffeine and decided to just get an iced Americano from Mcd. It was a Tuesday afternoon but there is still a long line and I think I finished a whole episode of Haikyuu waiting for my turn. I feel like I need to make use of the long waiting so I bought Yuzu Cream Cheese Pie as well. It was my first time eating it. The combination of yuzu and cream cheese is good but my days of eating fried pie have long gone now.

I went back home and ate the pie with the Americano while watching Jujutsu Kaisen. I loved this show so much and purposely watching it slowly cause I know I will hate it when I finish it and need to wait another year for a new season. I fried some more fries and have the leftover porridge as well for dinner. I don't finish the porridge but then my brother made a group video call and I tricked myself into slowly eating it while chatting with them.

I really did drink three coffee in one day.

In one day that was my day off.

Six Months Into Retail and Having No Friend

May 4, 2021

I had a major problem at work and the problem still persist until further notice. It was frustrating especially when I'm being taken advantage of and I'm really not having a good Ramadhan too. It was tiring too and even more tiring to try to be more positive that I just stop thinking positive and just go with the flow. It wasn't helping at all that my friends who happen to work with the same company as me hardly responses to my venting and now I get this nagging feeling in me that simply questioning our whole friendship which has lasted a little over a week now. Am I simply overthinking this and being dramatically insecure? Most probably. Does my friend deserve me to be like this? Well, not really I guess? Plus they might not even notice since we didn't live close by. I can gather enough reason to avoid meeting them. There are some other personal issues that I rather not disclose here but I guess everything is taking too much of a toll on me. Plus, I'm hungry.

This is me venting.

We are in the last 10 days of Ramadhan. It feels surreal especially when you're working  2pm to 10pm about four to five days per week and having no friends to hang out with during the weekdays. I don't even have time to hang out during the weekday as my free time is in the morning and I spent it "conserving" my energy to work my evening shift. I think mid-Ramadhan I just give up and sleep after Subuh and just wake up late. I get to spend the second weekend of Ramadhan going for iftar with a friend of mine. I spent my last weekend at my aunt's house where I sleep, eat, and watching tv shows. But being back to my work is literally a slap to reality.

I'm an ambivert. So although it is still comforting to be living alone, I still needed company at some point. I also need PKP to end so I can take my much-needed break from work.

My thoughts are all over.

There are things I'm still so grateful though. Like I went out with my cousin and she knew good places to shop and I got to buy this beautiful pajama set and pleated shawl that was so cheap. She even treated me to this cute cat cartoon printed mask from Watsons and I finally get to buy a good serum to include in my skincare. I finally meet my sister last Saturday and it was just so good seeing a family during these times. I got to play with my other cousin's cute twins too. The twins have started to be more comfortable with me so now I can hold them without them crying lol.

I do love working in retail pharmacy despite feeling this exasperated. Getting to interact with customers and the challenges that come with managing it is so refreshing and rewarding. I just hated the fact I have so many evening shifts and that since we're new, we didn't get much customer so it gets bleak at times.

We are understaffed so I had to do a full-day shift for the first time last week. I dreaded it so much but thank god a friend of mine came in. He wanted me to teach him stuff since he's doing locum. It was nice seeing him after so long and it gets the time moves faster. There are finally peoples applying for the vacancy here but I'm not sure how soon they can start working but I'm just grateful knowing there's an end to this. Also, my skin is doing a whole lot better too and I'm excited for my facial session this Thursday. We also get free chocolate moist cake yesterday!

A friend from my old hospital is coming to stay with me for a couple of days since she's doing a locum after Eid. It kinda worries me because I've been so used to living alone but I know it will do me good to break the monotony so I'm also quite excited. My sister is booking an AirBnb for us to chill during Eid as we can't go home. I'm so looking forward to that too.

It has been six months already. I'm starting to become more familiar with this new place and becoming more familiar with the routes altough I did get lost yesterday trying to find KK Mart. I learn better from mistakes anyway.I tend to talk too much which makes me feel like I'm overcompensating so I wanted to work on that. I notices that I get better now at explaining stuff to my customer so that I appear more confident.  My newest staff has this childish and a bit ignorant behaviour which also exhibited on my last staff which I dreaded so much. I was so grateful when she was quitting but I can't keep on hoping that the staff that I'm not in favour of to just quit. Now I'm learning to be more accepting and trying to  work around it. I decided to take it as a challenge in order to get me more flexible in training my staff.

Now, I'm just trying my best to do my fast and waiting for Ramadhan to end so I can correct my sleep schedule and not feeling drained all day long. If anyone reading this feels the need to judge me, don't. You'll just sound like those anti-vaccines peoples that are so stupidly ignorant it hurts.

No, scratch that. Those peoples does not hurt me. It makes me feel like hurting people-

Why Did I Bought Matebook D 15 by Huawei?

Mar 17, 2021

I bought a new laptop rather impulsively last November. Coincidentally the old computer that had just been installed at my new workplace was on the verge of a total malfunctioning. It was one of those "the stars have aligned" moments although one of the most important reasons I wanted a new laptop is just so that I can have a better experience watching Netflix.

It helps a lot at work too.

Anyway, we already got a new laptop at work, so, there's that.

I got myself Matebook D 15! It was such an exciting purchase after my thorough research especially since I put a budget of 2.5k. That has really limits my choice considering the specifications that I want. This post was originally supposed to be a review of the laptop but I feel like reviewing a laptop needs to be more informative so I thought I will simply do the "why's" I finally ended up buying it. Plus, this way it will reflect better on my needs from the laptop.

If you're here to learn more about this laptop (it kinda weirds me out knowing there will be random peoples reading my blog instead of my blogging friends only), I think you needed to know what kind of person who's using this laptop just so you can get a better understanding of my view.

I mainly use my laptop for Netflix and blogging. I hardly use it for work since I did all my work on my work laptop. Having said that, work stuff mostly only needs me to go online and probably some Words and Powerpoint which is still achievable with a basic laptop. However, I do need it to at least be able to run some basic video editing software because I sometimes do simple video editing. I think that was it for background information, lets get on to the main points!

Brilliant Screen

My old laptop is very old. I had it like 10 years ago and my only goal is for it to be able to run Words and Powerpoint. The screen wasn't as bright and if you're watching movies with dark cinematography, you'll end up watching your reflection most of the time. So this is my main concern and since I don't know anything about display technology, I went directly to a PC shop to have a look myself. The screen was bright and the color was brilliant. Not to mention the screen is 15.6 inches! It was so satisfying. However, I'm not sure how it will look like under the sun which I have been aware to be not so good from my research. I'm already using the highest brightness indoor. There's another model that has a greater display which I have forgotten which but it will cost me at least another RM700 so I settled with this to be the best within my budget.

Thin and lightweight

Lightweight is more of an added bonus for me. I know I'm not going to be bringing my laptop to places but I don't want to feel like a strain if I want to use my laptop while lying down. Plus being lightweight also means I'm getting a thinner laptop which is what I needed more. I don't mind if it's heavier. Just make it thin. I want it to be portable and feel comfortable with it. This laptop is a big win in that section being only 1.53kg. I can simply pull it out and flip it around and thus feeling more portability out of it.

Good processor

This is important since I do want this laptop to be able to at least do some simple video editing. I usually use VSDC and was hoping to maybe use Photoshop or something. I might not ever actually do any of those but I want my choices to be available. This was such a big setback for me because I was looking for at least an intel core i5. There are probably other Intel processors that work for me but these things are confusing so I just settled that it must be at least an intel core i5. That however is quite costly as well. That was when I learned about AMD and how Ryzen 5 is on par with intel core i5. This laptop uses Ryzen 5. So I'm currently sitting at 8GB RAM and 256SSD which is good for me especially since I usually only stream shows instead of downloading or gaming. I have a vague memory that the processor can be upgraded but the storage can definitely be upgraded. Ryzen 5 won't be that good for gaming but it might work out better with Ryzen 7 provided that you get more storage of course. I think there's an advanced version of this model that comes with  Ryzen 7 and 512GB SSD.

Fancy design

I've been living with an ugly laptop for 10 years. The design was quite nice during the old days and I even get those fancy laptop stickers that totally rocks but the time has changed. Matebook D15 is definitely a catch in this point since the design tries to mimic Macbook. Metallic built, minimal design, that fancy Huawei words, sleek keyboard, 87% body to screen ratio and my utmost favorite is of course the fingerprint reader unlock option. It just looks so cool. However, the webcam placement is on the keyboard. There is an extra button between F6 and F7 that will pops out of the camera when pressed. You'll end up with a low-angle video, but I don't ever use those, so I don't mind. But the quality is still decent.

Cheaper by RM500

The average price is around 2.5k which fits my budget accurately. I was planning on buying it at Lazada provided it must be from a shop that I can directly go to if I have any problem. I found a seller based at Plaza Low Yat. I think there's another seller which cost a bit more but I can get some good gifts as well. I was really only aiming for the backpack. However, since it was 11.11, the Plaza Low Yat ones got a major discount and it ended up only cost me 2k! I saw the discount notice before 11.11 and thought to myself that this is too good to be true but it indeed is and that was how I ended up buying a laptop in the middle of the night. The packaging was good albeit the seller sent it out a bit late.

Other miscellaneous reasons

The battery lasted longer than I have anticipated like I can still watch two to three episodes of anime on Netflix with battery saver mode on and as I have said before, I always use full brightness mode. It uses a type C charger so it is a whole lot less bulky and I can use it to charge my phone as well. I was worried earlier that a type C charger will make it longer to reach full charge. I usually just leave it charged for few hours or so. Since it has that battery protection thingy, it will stop charging automatically when it is full. But I never leave it overnight or anything. The sleek keyboard is not only cool to look at but also has a  good feel to it. There was some heating complaint but I've been writing this for almost two hours already on my lap and it was fine. The sound was loud enough and it doesn't break even when I'm using VLC on full volume.

That was it. Feel free to ask me anything if you want to know more.

Things I Want to Change About Myself?

Jan 31, 2021

I literally just thought about this. It was the usual realization of things "I should have done" that I only got the time to really ponder deeply about it now that PKP has started again and I have all the time to myself.

Talking about PKP, what's with the 5K cases? The daily deaths too. This feel so out of hand. Like for real, I'm going to actually continue writing my Covid-19 Diary series cause it seems like we are going to be here for a while.

Anyway, back to the title, this isn't supposed to be a dark thing whatsoever. It was more like things that I have always been conscious about but not too much but still, doing something about it might be a good thing considering I'm two years left to go into my thirties. I might still not doing anything after this but I feel like writing and writing have always been my safe place.

Bodyweight

My body weight has been increasing since forever. I've never considered dieting or exercising because for the most part of my life I wasn't exactly fat thanks to my height and stature but now it seems like those can't help me anymore. My cheeks are literally falling out of my hijab lol. Do I hate it? Not exactly. My only problem is that I can't really rock outfits that I think look so cool but won't exactly work if I'm not thin enough.

It might hurt my chances of getting a guy but these outfits thing is my main issue now. Plus I'm getting older and having some more movements out of my daily life might help me not being a burden when I'm older. I hate being a burden. It makes me anxious.

Skin routine

My acne is acting up, and the mask is just making it worse. I decided to retake Accutane again. Even with the vaccine coming up, there is still a long time for us to spend being vigilant so yeah the mask might stay for a little longer.

Then I also realized that I have a really bad habit at skincare. I mean I do them but for the most part of it, I still pick at my acne, and recently, I have been doing such a good job of not doing my skincare routine. Mostly because it got so discouraging how oily my skin gets afterward and nothing seems to work off my acne. It was taking so long to heal and the mask keeps on ruining the already slowly healing acne. I'm getting better at it though since I change some of the product and limit to three items only.

Daily routine

I think I need to add a little something to my life. Make it more stable and fulfilling like those aesthetically pleasing "daily routine vlog". Since we are in the Covid-19 season, my current life includes work, fyp, animes, and tv shows. Although I have exactly no problem doing those things as I chilled after a day of work, my soul kinda craves something more.

It wasn't about having a purpose in life because I have long settled with living a carefree and chill day to day life but I guess a little something more would help me not getting bored easily. I've been feeling good lately since I started my new work so I guess I just wanted to use this energy more.

That was it. It was rather a short list now, doesn't it? Now I'm not sure what's left to say anymore. Although there is one important change I need to do that is simply hurting my ego yet I just have to do it.

Have you guys ever heard how bitchy Digi is when their users want to change telco? I have experienced it first hand and it was so obnoxious that I vowed not to use them ever again.

Guess what telco has the most speed in my new place?

p/s - today is supposed to be a chill Sunday but why is it so hot!

Hannan Medispa Review (Part Two)

Jan 3, 2021

The dalgona coffee that I drank last night has made it hard for me to sleep and I keep waking up the entire night but I still feel refreshed this morning. It's already 8 am but the weather wasn't as bright as it is still raining which actually started around 1a.m. . I'm a bit dreaded to expect the pool of water on the road that will surely give me anxiety.

Anyway. I need to write something because I need a change of pace and I thought that this is the time I finally write Part Two of my Hannan Medispa Review

It just occurs to me that I have forgotten most of it and that I have changed my purse to a smaller one so I'm not sure where the heck is my Hannan Medispa's appointment card that wrote the last three types of treatment. There are going to be so many holes in this review so I am sorry in advance #lol.

First thing first, recap! If you've read my first review, you would realize that I have six sessions for acne and two sessions for scars/pigmentations. But since the acne healed well by the fifth session, they change the sixth acne treatment into something appropriate for my skin which in this case, an extra session for my scars/pigmentation. So this review is going to focus on that three-session regarding the scars/pigmentation.

The three sessions include a trichloroacetic acid peeling and two derma pen session. The derma pen session uses different solutions which I can't recall exactly what I have used. I think one of them includes salmon DNA something with Centella and the other one is vitamin C, I think. I'm pretty sure it was vitamin C cause I remember precisely associating vitamin C with the stinging pain afterward. Yup, definitely vitamin C.

The TCA session was great. My skin peels for a week and it was super dry but it greatly reduces the pigmentations and my skin tone looks much toned. The old scars are still there but I loved seeing how healthy and glowing it looks. I knew I will take forever to write this so I make a thread on Twitter about this as the peeling go. Please read the thread if you want to understand my TCA peel process better. The short story version is it basically means my skin dries and peeled off and it works.

I did the peel in January and I should have one-month downtime before doing my next dermapen session but then PKPB happens. So it was once the PKPP started, which was months afterward, that I did my dermapen but the result wasn't as pleasant. Bear in mind that I needed to wear a mask all the time at the hospital and plus the stress kinda gets to you. It didn't occur to me at that point that my breakout was coming at me again and the dermapen can't be as successful because the micro-needling kinda causes me acnes.

It wasn't a full-blown breakout but still. Anyway, both dermapen causes skin purge but the second one kind rose into a mild breakout although initially, it has healed nicely. I think I did something that causes the breakout but I'm sorry I just can't share any good results from the dermapen sessions.

Needless to say, since the covid is staying for a while, I've decided to restart my Accutane. I'm still searching for an easily accessible clinic near me and lowkey decided I might just take Accutane for the rest of my life.

Now that sounds depressing. Maybe until I decided to get kids. I need to get married first. That sounded like a long time to go.
